 Gibraltar Pound ,The Gibraltar Pound is issued by the Government of Gibraltar under the Currency Notes Act 1934. Its treasury contains coins of £1, £2, £5, 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p and 50p. It prints £5, £10, £20, £50 and £100 banknotes.
Circulating banknotes and coins use British names but have different designs. They are only accepted in Gibraltar. GIP is not recognized in the UK, although it can be exchanged for British pound sterling banknotes at a one-to-one ratio.
